Give Yourself A Hand~Or Glove

Hello everyone!
It has been awhile, but I promised I would post about the 80's celebration we had. I decided to give a little tutorial on the gloves I wore.
They were surprisingly easy and very fun to make. :)

I began with two pieces of this black netting-like fabric. The pieces were the width of my hand and then tapered a little at the bottom. The first thing I did was sew up one side of the two pieces together. Right side to right side. :) After that I folded over the top of the glove a quarter inch and sewed it down to fortify the edge. Then, I cut another strip of the fabric, gathered it a little, and attached it to the bottom of the glove. The last thing to do is sew up the other side, but you have to make a hole for your thumb to go through. What I did was place my hand in the glove, and put two pins approximately where my thumb began and ended. Then, sew it up leaving that hole open. The hole for the thumb needs to be turned under and then: Taadaa! A finished glove!
Have fun and create!
